The Junior League of Midland, Inc. completed our first community project of the year in October. Family First was a family date night where we featured non-profits from around the community, had multiple educational sessions, and lots of fun things for kids to do. Our keynote speaker was Olympian Marlen Esparza. She recently won an Olympic Bronze Medal in the London games. She was so much fun to get to know. A perk to being President Elect of Junior League, I got to take her out to dinner. She was inspiring and so down to earth.
