This weekend was our 10 year reunion. It is really fun sharing the same reunion with your husband and all of your friends. We had a good time and although I was very hesitant about going (because I am self conscious about just having a baby and carrying some extra baby weight around) we went to most of the events and had a great time. I was disappointed that so few people ended up coming but enjoyed hanging out with our friends who live here and we see all of the time and the few who I don't see as often who did come in.
Friday night events kicked off with the Midland vs. Lee football game. We did not go to the game but had our sitter come over later in the evening so we could go to an after party. We went to a really nice party that had a DJ (who played 90's music!), fajitas catered, a bar, and great people! We stayed out to nearly 1am! Woah! I cannot tell you how long it has been since we have gone out much less stayed out that late! Hannah and Hudson both slept the entire time we were gone with Hudson waking up right before we got home to eat.
Saturday, we went to the park for a picnic lunch with the families. Although it was primarily friends from Midland who have children that are in Hannah's class... it was nice to see the Conder's and the Hill family and their kids who came in from out of town. I also got to enjoy visiting with my sweet friend Katy who I haven't seen since her wedding 2 years ago. We brought both kids (it was cool and I figured since we were outside and there wouldn't be a lot of people there, I could bring Hudson and keep in him in car seat the whole time) and picked up chick-fil-a.
Saturday night, before leaving we put Hannah in the bathtub so we could get ready. I was feeding Hudson and Hannah stood up in the bath tub and grabbed my curling iron that was set on 450 degrees! that was on my vanity. She screamed and cried for over an hour! Thankfully, it didn't even blister but it broke my heart! We left her crying over at Mimi's where she would spend the night and Hudson stayed at home with Angie. We met some friends up at the Hilton Bar before eventually heading out to KD's Bar-b-que for the reunion. We both had a great time visiting with friends and stayed the entire time not getting home again until nearly one. To end the high school reunion weekend. Stuart and I stopped off at Whataburger (pronounced Waterburger... for my non-Texan blog readers) for a late night snack! Ohhh... High school, has it really been 10 years?
