Thursday I was taking the kids to school and as I was dropping off Hudson in the baby room I always shut the door so no babies escape! Hudson apparently had his little fingers in the hinge part of the door and I shut the door. Hard. Poor Buddy! ***Don't read further if you can't handle blood!*** Hud's little fingers nails were both out the nail beds and there was blood everywhere! I picked him up and took and took him straight to the car and called our pediatrician's office on the way. We went straight in and our wonderful nurses and pediatrician came right in! We lost one nail when cleaning off his fingers and the other wasn't looking so hot. Dr. N pushed both nails back into the nail beds and sutured them on! After a little bit of TLC, brownies, and motrin Hudson was fine. They look terrible but it looks the nails have taken. His sister pulled off his bandages and he is using his fingers like nothing happened!
