Hannah celebrated her 4th birthday this week with a party at the Planetarium. We wore our PJ's, had milk and cookies, and watched the Polar Express under the stars! We had a Reindeer Food Bar, a cookie decorating table, and a balloon man. The kids were given jingle bell necklaces and a s'more kit to take home.
In lieu of gifts for Hannah, we asked our friends to donate an unwrapped gift to Toy's for Tots. This was a great opportunity and a huge success. Today, we dropped off several large trash bags full of toys at the Salvation Army. If you ask Hannah where all the presents went she says "to friends who don't have Christmas presents." We want to teach our kids the joy of giving and how to give back. We want them to know that they are blessed and how there are many children out there who will not get presents this year. I know my kids are young but I want to mold their hearts and to be selfless, compassionate, and giving even at a young age.
