Easter and the week before

Sorry, I am a little bit behind and catching up! But the weekend before last, Aunt Susie came home to visit Hannah. I wish Hannah could remember Susie coming home to see her so often when she is so young. But we had a really good time and Susie even got to help mom babysit all day on Monday while I was at clinicals. Then, we got an extra day with her as all planes out of Midland were canceled due to weather in Houston. She finally made it back to NY on Wednesday. The Monday that Susie was here, my clinical instructor came to Midland from Galveston to observe me in clinic. This was the last time! Yay! The count down is officially on! I have 2 more assignments due next week and another week of clinicals and that is it! Done! (Until I start studying for the board exam).

Last Thursday, Mimi and Pops babysat and Stuart and I went to dinner with our friends. Its so funny to me that we can't just do those type of things anymore. Friday, my Aunt Harriet came to town and Grandma took Hannah, Aunt Harriet, and me out to lunch. It was great to have Aunt Harriet here for the weekend too!

Sunday was very cold and rainy but Hannah still got to wear her cute Easter dress. I just put tights on her! We didn't do any Easter Egg hunts this year but next year... Look out Easter Bunny! Hannah will be walking!

Here are a couple of pictures. Susie says there are some new pictures at my mom's house of when she was here. So hopefully I can make it over there this week and add some of those pictures.

Princess Hannah

Class of 2008

On April 18th, I am graduating!!! This was the last time I will ever have to go to Galveston for school. Here is a picture of the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner UTMB Class of 2008! Hannah even came to class with me on Wednesday to meet everyone. The other picture (with the dolls) was taken right before Infant Massage class. Hannah is really enjoying letting me practice on her :) Like Mommy, Like Daughter!

Our first plane ride

Last Sunday, Hannah, Grandmommy, and I went to Houston for a few days so I could go to class in Galveston. Hannah had a great first plane ride. She did excellent going there and coming back. While in Houston we stayed with my aunt and uncle, had dinner with my college friends Robin, Brooke, and Chris (Chris and Brooke are expecting a baby in October!) and went to Mommy's favorite shopping place, the Galleria! Hannah had an awful trip though! She was SO irritable and inconsolable every single night we were gone. Even Wednesday night when we got home, it continued. I am not sure if she felt bad, was just out of her routine, or if it was a side effect from her shots. I don't know! I checked her ears and throat on Thursday and they were fine. so who knows? Thankfully, Thursday night she was back to her old self again and then last night did great again and even slept from 11:00 until 9:30 this morning! A record!

Smiles and Bumbo

Nobody told what it would feel like to have your child smile at you! It melts your heart! Hannah has really started smiling a lot for us. She gets really excited when we talk to her. Here are some pics of her smiling as Daddy is talking to her. We also got out her Bumbo for the first time. I think she likes being able to sit up in it. Her head bobs a little but she is staying up very well.

Hanging out with Dad

Hannah has been hanging out with dad a lot at night and on weekends so I can get school done.

2-month well child visit

Today was Hannah's 2 month well visit. She got an outstanding report! She weighes 13.5lbs and is 23 1/4 inches long. She is now in the 95th percentile for weight and the 75th percentile for height. She also got her shots! She got a total of 5 injections (2 in each leg and one in her arm) and one oral vaccine. Developmentally she is doing great too. We have so much to be thankful for!

Bunny Pictures

Hello! It seems like the weeks are flying by! Hannah is now 2 months, school is busy but nearly done, and Spring seems to be around the corner. This weekend was nice here in Midland, my car said the temperature on Saturday was 86 degrees. Friday night, Stuart and I went out to dinner and to see The Producers with some of our friends. It was so much fun! It was great to be able to go out again with our friends. Mimi babysat again and we really appreciated our time out with adults. The play lasted until 11:00, so in our minds, we were out LATE! hehehe. Saturday, I fulfilled my Junior League volunteer hours at our annual fundraiser, Spring Fling. While working, I had the chance to do some shopping and bought Hannah a cute A&M outfit (with matching bow!) to wear in the fall and won a raffle prize too! (I got a cow skin pillow with a Y monogram on it!!!). Today, Stuart and I took Hannah to Sears to have her picture made with bunnies! It took a long long time and Hannah was not very cooperative for us! We did however, manage to get a few cute shots. In a couple of months, I am having her pictures professionally done, but until then, I wanted to get some cheap ones made with live bunnies ;)
