Hannah had her very first dance recital this weekend. She did terrific! She knew the dance and danced her sweet little heart out! It was a special day for us. All year she has taken tap and ballet and this was the first time we were able to actually see her dance. Hannah loved the attention of the recital but has really enjoyed going to dance every week. We are really looking forward to next year.

Hud wanted to wear Hannah's bow. Bow is one of his words.

The kids were pretending to be on a Disneyland ride. Hannah is so imaginative!

Purple Kitty face pain from a birthday party. We have since found that Hannah may be allergic to face paint (see below picture)

Pirate Hudson

Hannah having an allergic reaction to the face paint? We are not sure if it was the sunscreen, sun, or face paint but she broke out again this week after having her face painted.

Huddy LOVES shoes!

Tooth Fairy

One week post removal (which actually looks worse today!)

Immediately after

Last Friday I had my wisdom teeth removed. My 30 year old self took it pretty well. I have needed them out for some time now. My top two came in sometime during my mid 20's but haven't caused a lot of problems until I started getting cavities way back there. I have a cavity between my wisdom tooth and its neighbor and my dentist told me he wouldn't fill it until I had them removed. I was nursing Hudson and was scared because I didn't know how I would be able to take care of my children and who would take care of me. I finally bit (no pun intended) the dust and did it. It was that bad but the bruising and swelling has been awful. A week later I still look like I took a fist to the jaw!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day! I am so incredibly blessed to be Hannah and Hudson's Mommy. I do not take this for granted and remember less than five years ago longing to be celebrated on Mother's Day. My dreams have come true and I thank God each and everyday not just on Mother's Day for the gift of being a Mommy.

I was able to celebrate to Mothers Day with Muffins with Mom in Huddy's class.

and with a Mother's Day Tea with Hannah's Class

We celebrated with Mimi whom I am thankful and blessed to have in my life and our children's lives.

I also remember this Mother's Day in 2008. This was my first Mother's Day and the last Mother's Day I spent with my mom who was taken from us about 6 weeks later. I don't miss my mom any more on Mother's Day but it just is a day that "rubs it in" I do not have my mom here to celebrate.

I do celebrate my Grandmother today who is 87 1/2 and such an important person in my life.

Happy Mother's Day to all of you who love us and love our kids!
