St. Ann's Family Fair

Wouldn't You?

Wouldn't you wear a big fluffy pink tutu and tap shoes everyday if you looked this cute???
Did I mention that we love dance!

MHS Homecoming

Last night we took the kids to Midland High's Homecoming game. We only stayed about 30 minutes before getting rained out but we sported our gear proudly!

Dancing Queen

We started Ballet and Tap this week! The studio that Hannah is taking dance at lets them wear cute tutu's to dance and boy does she and Mommy like this! Hannie did great on her first day. I had explained to her that Mommy couldn't come in so she would be prepared. She went in a little hesitantly but came out excited, said she liked it, and told me she wants to go back. She also told me several times this week that she wants to go to be a ballerina. I will most more pictures in the next few weeks!

Meeting Baby Avery and Austin Trip

Just a side note here... I had 4 friends have babies on one day this week! DO NOT DRINK THE WATER HERE.

This past weekend Stuart went on his annual Yeager Brother's Dove Hunt and I took the kids to Austin to see Aunt Susie. Not only did we see Aunt Susie, but we also got to go and meet my friend Allison's new baby girl, Avery. Allison is one of two of my college roommates who had a baby this summer. Avery is so precious and Hannah was very interested and kept trying to hold (smash) her paci in her mouth!

I didn't get any pictures with Susie or of my nieces and nephew that we also got to see and have lunch with. We had a good weekend and got to see lots of people that we love!
This was our first road trip potty trained and H did great! We only made two stops coming and going. However, we were almost to Garden City and Hannah had to tee tee again. I had forgotten to bring our little portable potty and tried to convince her to wait until we got to the store. She said she couldn't wait, so we pulled off the side of the road and I had to teach her how to squat and tee tee in the grass. Then had to spend the rest of the trip explaining to her that we don't go tee tee in the grass unless Mommy is there and Mommy says its okay because we don't have a potty. I was terrified that she might tee tee in the grass on the playground at school this week.

Bath Time is Fun

The kids are really starting to play together and they love bath time. Hannah loves the color tablets and she and Hud "swim" all around the bath together!

First Day of Mother's Day Out

Last Tuesday was the first day of Mothers Day Out! Hannah is an old pro at this and didn't cry or cling to me at all. She knows both of her teacher's kids and I am also friends with them which makes it nice. She did great with pottying in the potty there and has come home very happy and very tired!
Hudson has had the chance to get acquainted with school and his room quite a bit with TGIF. He is in the baby class where Hannah started out two years ago but with different teachers. He is the oldest by about 2 weeks but they are all pretty close in age. He also has a great class. His teachers are precious and he has really done well. He hasn't napped there which makes him a very tired boy when he gets home!
We love this program, are blessed to be able to be a part of it and our children are safe and happy there. This year I am on the Early Childhood Ministry Board and get to help out and volunteer up there. I am excited to see what this year brings for both kids!

Disneyland 2010

Thanks to Mimi and Pops, we spent all of last week in California visiting Mickey Mouse and the gang! Actually, because Hannah is petrified of characters, we spent more time with the Princesses. Why not? She is only 2! Our children were fabulous travelers and our newly potty trained daughter did amazing coming and going with long flights, lay overs, and long days in the hot California sun6+9. We had a wonderful time park hopping between California Adventure Land and The Magic Kingdom. If you ask Hannah what we did she will tell you that she saw Mickey Mouse, Snow White, Jasmine, Cinderella, Elephants (Dumbo), Trains, Tea Cups, and Lady Bugs. That about sums it up. I will tell you we also rode huge fun roller coasters, tower of terror, soared of California, had nice dinners in Down Town Disney and the hotels, and enjoyed watching the magic of Disneyland through the eyes of a two year old.
We all had a great time, Hudson included. He also enjoyed riding the rides and sight seeing. However, we did spend one afternoon in the Children's Hospital of Orange County Emergency Room. Hudson choked on his breakfast earlier that day and could not seem to get over it. He was drooling, irritable, and wouldn't nurse or take a drink. After giving it some time, we decided we had better take him to just be sure he didn't have anything lodged in his espohagus. After a chest x-ray it was determined that he had some swelling and irritation from the choking, was given a steroid, put on a soft food diet, and sent home for more fun in the sun!
The weather was great, the crowds were not bad, and over all we just had a wonderful family vacation.
Here are some highlights!
We had character breakfasts every morning! The first day we had breakfast at our hotel, the Grand Californian. Chip and Dale were popular with Hudson. Hannah was TERRIFIED!

We spent the first day at California Adventure Land. We rode lots of rides in the Bugs Life. Hannah's favorites were the Caterpillar train, dancing lady bugs, bumper cars. The adults took turns riding the Tower of Terror, Soaring over California, roller coasters, and white water rapid ride.

Hannah got scared in the Bugs Life 3D show!

Daddy and Pops are a catch!

Family Ferris Wheel

We had lunch with Princesses

Snow White is Hannah's Favorite

But she also liked Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Jasmine, and Ariel

Day 2 at the Magic Kingdom... Hannah got to ride the Elephants. The grown ups started the day with Space Mountain and we all rode some of the favorites including the Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, It's a Small World...

The Teacups lived up to Hannah's expectations!

She also loved riding the
carousel.
Our Emergency Room visit

The third day we had breakfast at the Disneyland Hotel in Goofy's Kitchen.

Again, not a fan of characters, she told us that Jasmine had pretty hair.

Hudson didn't mind them.

Then it was back to the Magic Kingdom for another day of fun!

We rode our favorites again!

Daddy took Hannah on the pirate ship while Mommy rode Splash Mountain and Indiana Jones.

After lunch exploring the petting zoo at Big Thunder Ranch, adults took turns riding Big Thunder Railroad!

The Fourth Day we had breakfast with Mickey and Minnie at the Paradise Pier.

And it was back to California Adventure Land to ride some new rides and re-ride our favorites!

Bye Bye Disneyland! See you soon!
