Hannah is 15 months

Hannah is just about 15 months (in 3 days!). We are constantly amazed at how smart she is and all she does. She still loves her car, loves to push her baby stroller around everywhere and is starting to hug and kiss her baby doll. She is talking quite a bit more and will see a dog, point to it, and say "dog". She is very very into everything and we are constantly on-guard and keeping doors (especially to the bathrooms) closed. She exclusively walks and is nearly running! She mimics sounds we make and loves to climb! She loves to slide and is fearless! She is growing like a weed, thinning out :( and her hair is finally growing with some curl to it. Although we still only have a total of 4 teeth, she is an outstanding eater! She is learning her body parts well is constantly amazing us with something new!

Hannah's First Trip to Disneyland

For Spring Break last week we traveled to Anaheim, California to meet Mickey and friends! We had an amazing trip and Hannah had a blast! She (and I) were able to ride so many rides and she loved them. Her favorite things were "A Bug's Life" which is a 3-D show at California Adventure Park, The Carousel in Fantasy Land and The Haunted House! She did remarkably well with the characters and even gave a big bear a hug!

We started our trip off with a big delay from Midland to Phoenix. We realize when things like this happen how blessed we are to have such a flexible child. When we finally made it to Orange Country, we were picked in and headed to Anaheim. We stayed in the center of the Disneyland Resorts at the Grand California and had an awesome room that overlooked Downtown Disney and gave us an amazing view of Disney's outstanding fireworks show each night.

Thursday was our first day at the Magic Kingdom. After enjoying our Character Breakfast with Chip and Dale and friends, we took advantage to our "Magic Morning" passes and were able to enter the park an hour early. We went straight the Finding Nemo ride which is supposed to be the most popular and longest line. That was the only ride we rode that Hannah did not like... Hummm.

Thanks to wonderful Mimi and Pops, Hannah was fortunate enough to be able to stay on Texas time, and with few cat naps, she was able to spend the evenings in the room, eating room service and going to bed early while Brittney watched her allowing the four adults to go out and enjoy and nice dinner sans a highchair and entertaining Hannah the whole time.
Friday was another beautiful day that we spent at California Adventure. Our highlight there was a Princess Lunch! Hannah also really enjoyed this (and so did Stuart!). We all got to ride rides that we enjoyed here too.
Saturday we went back to the Magic Kingdom and rode several more rides. Mimi, Hannah, and I rode most rides together while Stuart, Brittney, and Pops rode ones that Hannah and I couldn't.
Sunday we enjoyed a leisurely morning around Downtown Disney before leaving California around 3:55. Unfortunately we faced another long delay in Phoenix, not putting us home until after 1:00am that night! But, like a champ, a napless Hannah did amazing and finally slept the entire ride from Phoenix, through Albuquerque and on to Midland.

While on our trip Hannah started saying several new words... Dayyeee (Daisy), Ride, Bug, and Book. She is also saying Hi to everyone she sees. We had a wonderful time on our trip and cannot wait to go again with our new baby!!!

(Sorry about the picture quality, my camera is acting funny and I don't know how to use it... Mimi got some great pics so once I get those, I will add those!)

I heard her crying

I was sitting here "chatting" with my friend Brooke on Facebook and heard Hannah crying. I waited for a second thinking that maybe she had fallen and would stop in a second. When she didn't I got up to go check on her. I first checked the playroom, no Hannah, then came around the corner and saw a bottom and 2 legs sticking out of the doggy door! Before I could rescue her, I had to grab my camera!

Desperate Need for Help!!!

I am in desperate need of finding a sitter for my babies! I thought I had it all worked out and had done some switching around of my schedule, the lady I had is unable to fulfill the commitment. So I am asking/begging you for help! I need a sitter who will come to my home Wednesday afternoons 1-5ish to keep Hannah and our new baby. This is extremely difficult because I know it is hard to find someone for 1 afternoon a week! If I could find someone who will work Mondays 8-5 and Wednesdays 1-5, that would work too. I need someone who is great with kids and does not smoke. But if you know of anyone (maybe you have a sitter that you don't need those hours, or know someone who sits for kids but doesn't Wednesday afternoons) PLEASE pass her name along. You can email me at Jennmh@aol.com.

Park

(Check out our little black eye! Walking in sand is harder than it looks!)

We have had such beautiful weather this week that Hannah and I decided to take advantage of it and go to the park. Hannah LOVES the slide. Our neighborhood has this really nice park in it that I know we will enjoy for years to come.

Not much has been going on here since I last posted. This weekend was Junior League's Spring Fling and I spent Thursday night shopping at Girls Night Out, Friday working my volunteer hours, and Saturday at the Princess Tea with Hannah. After the party we headed over to the Rogers' house for Owen and Brody's 1 year old birthday party! Other than that, we had a fairly relaxing weekend.
