January - Mommy brought you home for the New Year and loved dressing you up! Tutus are a favorite with big bows! Your cousins Parker and Ellie and your Aunt Autumn and Uncle Chad came to meet you for the first time.

February - We took our first trip to Dallas to meet the Hochman Family! Celebrated Mom's 27th Birthday and Valentines Day! Mom got you lots of cute Valentine outfits in 0-3 months!

March we celebrated Easter and Mommy and Grandmommy took you on a trip to Houston so Mommy could go to school and you could meet Uncle Bill and Aunt Jeanne and Chris and Brooke. Mommy introduced you to the Galleria! You also had your first set of shots and were a nightmare on the trip!

April.... 4 months old. Mommy is still nursing you and you are still sleeping in the cradle in our room. You start rolling over!

May we celebrated Mommy's First Mother's Day! We moved you into your room!

June we celebrated Daddy's 28th Birthday and his first Father's Day with a photo shoot of you. You were able to start on cereals and solid foods and Mommy left you for the first time with just Daddy to take a trip to Vegas. June was also a very sad month, you lost your Grandmommy and one of your biggest fans.

July - Mommy was very busy with all of the changes and you spent a lot of time with Daddy and Mimi and Pops. Aunt Susie was also around for a while and we celebrated your first Fourth of July! In July your friends Aubrey and Cooper were born!

August you went to your first Midland High Football Game and flew on the airplane to Dallas where Aunt E and Phil watched you while Mommy and Daddy and Mimi and Pops went to American Idol.

In September you started Mothers Day Out... and crawling!!! You went on your first trip to Vegas with a nanny and got your first teeth!

In October you weaned yourself from breastfeeding and begin eating everything. You crawl everywhere! You were a precious butterfly for your first Halloween.

In November we celebrated your first Thanksgiving at the Gaylord in Dallas with your cousins and then with the Hochman family.

In December we moved to a new house, you celebrated your first Christmas and a trip to San Diego to the zoo for your birthday. We also celebrated your birthday a little early with a party for your friends. Santa came in his firetruck and you got a swing set.

On December 29th Hannah turned 1!!! We are so proud of our little girl and cannot believe how much she has blessed our lives in 2008. We could not have been more blessed to have had such an easy going and flexible baby. Hannah has truly been a joy and a light during some dark days.

At 12 months old she is nearly walking on her own, babbling non-stop with lots of da da da's, ba ba ba's, ma ma ma's etc. She points all of the time and says "da" to everything she points at. She points to what she wants like a drink. She loves water and loves to drink of a straw. We are now soley on a sippy cup. She loves opening and closing all doors and drawers. She will put things in drawers that do not belong there and take everything out of others. She is very busy and likes to see how things are made. I think she will be an engineer. She loves everyone and will go to Mimi, Pops, Granddaddy, or anyone else anytime. She waves Hi and Bye Bye, stands up in shopping carts, and blows kisses. Her favorite game is Peek-a-boo and she loves to cover her own eyes until we ask "Where did Hannah go?". She is a wonderful eater! With only 2 teeth, she loves chicken, pasta, Mexican food, veggies, fruit, and really anything you give her. When she is tired, she sucks her thumb and lays her head down. She loves to sleep and gets an average of 12 hours a night with usually a morning an afternoon nap. She loves looking at other kids and showing off or sharing food with her dogs. Mommy loves to put your hair in a little ponytail. Mommy wishes you would keep your bows in! You have taken several trips to Dallas and do not mind riding in the car. You often fall asleep in the car. You are so friendly and such a joy to be around always.

Hannah, Mommy and Daddy cannot wait to see what your second year brings! We love you more than anything!

San Diego, CA

Christmas came and went... and on Friday we boarded a plane to sunny California. After a slight delay in Albuquerque due to snow, we finally made it to San Diego. Hannah enjoyed the flight and did very well having her own seat and using her carseat. She didn't nap but was well entertained by the little boy in front of her who shared his new Christmas toys.

We were picked up by a limo in San Diego, who knew that just the 3 of us could bring 5 bags!!! Plus a stroller and a carseat! And of course, Mimi and Pops brought 4 bags of their own! We arrived at the Del Coronado Hotel and were immediately taken to our beach front cottage! It was beautiful!!! Right on the beach, two bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, one large living area, another smaller living area, a full kitchen, an outside personal hot tub and our own fire pit on the porch. We ate dinner at the hotel and turned in early about 8:30pm because we were all still on Texas time and Hannah still hadn't taken a nap!
Saturday we woke up and enjoyed a wonderful breakfast, it was cool outside but the ocean was stunning. We walked around the hotel where we passed the ice rink! An outdoor ice rink on the beach!!! After breakfast we walked down the marina and looked at the boats and walked up the streets and around by the beach on our way back to our rooms. We spent Saturday and Sunday relaxing in our cottage and sitting out on our porch watching the sunsets and admiring the beautiful beach next to our fire pit.
Monday was a very special day!!! Hannah's First Birthday!!! The weather was beautiful and we went to the San Diego Zoo. We saw lots of unique animals and Hannah giggled at the apes! She also loved the skifari gondola ride! That evening we had a birthday dinner at the Boat House restaurant on the pier. Tuesday, we were able to stay until noon before packing up (this time we managed to get down to 4 suitcases, making it 8 with Mimi and Pops!) and heading back to Texas. The flights went well again but Hannah did not nap. She really did great! I forgot to mention though that when we arrived at the hotel one of our stroller wheels had fallen off and was unrepairable! Oh well, we looked like the Beverly Hillbillies with our 3 wheeled stroller but we didn't mind! We made it back in town late last night to a dirty house and two anxious dogs! I have a terrible head cold and have spent the day getting laundry done, unpacking, and putting up Christmas presents! I got a new camera for Christmas and took lots of pictures on our trip! I cannot figure out how to upload them to my computer yet but as soon as I do, I will post pictures!

Merry Christmas!!!
Merry Christmas everyone! We have been so busy getting ready for Christmas that I have been neglecting my blog. But do not worry, after the first of the year, I promise to get back on the blog wagon. Believe it or not, I haven't even had time to check your blogs! I have been buying and wrapping presents, getting ready for a certain someones first birthday!, hanging out with Aunt Susie, working, helping design and assemble Dad's Christmas cards, and getting settled into our house, attending Christmas parties, etc.
Not only are we celebrating Christmas we are celebrating Hannah's First Birthday!!! (This is also my blogs 1st Birthday too! Happy Birthday Blog!) More pictures to come later as we continue to celebrate Hannah's First Year!
Here are some pictures of Christmas Eve and a few beforehand. We always do Christmas with the Yeager's on Christmas Eve. We had a wonderful Christmas and feel so blessed and fortunate to have all these wonderful gifts. Mimi cooked an AWESOME!!! dinner last night, a traditional Christmas meal and it was so delicious, we ate it again for lunch today. I will take more pictures as we do Christmas with my Dad tonight. This has been an extremely difficult day and time of the year for us and we have really missed my mom. We haven't really celebrated. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!
