Girls (and kids) trip to the JW

We kicked off summer with a trip to the JW. A couple of girlfriends and I planned a trip to the JW the week that we got out of school before the public schools got out. We were the only ones there and had a wonderful time!

The trip didn't start out great. I had a flat tire 10 miles outside of Big Lake! Thankfully, by the time Stuart could drive to Big Lake from Midland, a company out of Big Lake came and put a spare on it, followed me into town and repaired my tire. We were off again in about an hour and a half.
Cute little friends! They all did so well together!

Stuart joined us at the end of the week and our cousins came down too!

End of the school year!

May was a crazy month!

The kids had their school program. Hannah had a speaking part!

We got icecream... just because!

Roses grew in my backyard

May was exhausting for all of us!

We did push ups!

We celebrated Mothers Day at the JW

Hannah had her top four teeth pulled (to make room for the big ones to come in because she has narrowed her bite so much by thumb sucking).

Hannah's Dance Recital

Way back in May (before I took a blog hiatus!) Hannah had her fourth dance recital! She did three dances this year. The first one "Dance with your Daddy" ended with their Daddy's joining them on the stage! Her jazz dance was "Who let them dogs out," although their costumes resembled more of a cow. They sure were cute though! She had a small sassy solo part in her tap dance to "These boots were made for walking!"
This was the our last year in the morning recital and next year she will be in the afternoon recital with older girls. She is still enjoying dance and had a great class this year with lots of friends. Because she started a year early, I "held her back" so she could be with her age group and friends. This was a great decision and you could see where that extra year of dance has paid off. She is a great dancer and I loved watching her.
