Dinner Party

Two weekends ago we went to a dinner party! Our friends won a Dinner Party for Eight at the home of this very nice husband and wife who cooked us dinner, made us drinks, and served us! We had a blast! Not only was dinner amazing but the hosts were so much fun and we got to spend the evening with our best friends!

The girls!

And the boys with their pink drinks!

More Birthday Party Fun

Saturday was our third birthday party in 3 days! Camille and Alexander had their party at the Jumping Place. Not a place we frequent regularly because I am a germaphobe but Amanda and Michelle rented the entire place out and Hannah had the best time! She had so much fun that I will bring her back (on a weekday, during school hours, when no one else is there! Only if there isn't a stomach bug going around!) Hud loved it too and wanted to do everything Hannah did.

Hello... Anyone there?

Why do my kids love to pretend they are on the phone?

How'd he do that?

Saturday morning Stuart went to work and I slept in a little bit. I woke up and heard Hannah talking on the monitor but thought that I could get in the shower really quick before I had to get her out. While I was taking my shower I saw some little person scamper across my bathroom. I opened the shower door to find Hudson sitting on the floor in my bathroom! Hannah came running back through. Figuring Stuart had already made it home I asked Hannah where Daddy was. She told me he was in the playroom. I got out of the shower, dried off and noticed that Hudson hadn't had a diaper change and the dogs had not been let us. So, I asked Hannah again. Where is Daddy? She said, "I don't know." So I called him. Sure enough, he was still North of town and had not been home yet. Soooooo.... How did Hudson get out of his crib??? He can hardly even walk!!! Hannah has not climbed out of her crib since a couple of weeks ago so I was surprised she did. Although I cannot be too sure and I get a little bit of a conflicting story but here is what I think went down. Hudson "fell" out of his crib, because he cannot reach the door knob he, went to the Jack and Jill door and slid it open, went to the bathroom, and slid the door to Hannah's room open, crawled or walked into Hannah's room, Hannah saw him, decided to climb out of her crib, managed to get out through the safety lock on the inside of her door and they both came to my bathroom...

I am Thankful

Yesterday in the car I asked Hannah "What are you thankful for?"

Her reply: "I am thankful for my brother"

Melt my heart!

They call me a Fireman!

Carter's 3rd Birthday Party was held at the Fire Station! Hannah was super excited and is fascinated with Fire Trucks at the moment! And what a good excuse to wear our smocked Fire Truck bishop and longall! Hannah jumped and jumped on the firetruck bouncer, swung at the pinata, and ate two pieces of cake! We had a great time!!!

We are the Aggies, the Aggies are we...

Open House

This week was Open House for Mothers Day Out classes. We had Hannah's on Tuesday. A repeat of last year, hysterical crying. Every parent video taping in the class will look back and these and wonder why Hannah is bawling every year! So distraught that we actually had to leave again as to not disturb the others. I don't know if she just gets overwhelmed or if its because she is so tired at the end of the day but serious melt down! From the second I walked in the door, through circle time, through snack, and then through music, tears, whining, hysterical crying!

Hudson's was Thursday morning. His class was so cute but I was disappointed that he did not participate as much as Hannah did when she was in the class two years ago. Our kids are very different. Hudson prefers to be playing rather than participating in music, ate his shakers, and could care less about the parachute. He did however eat three muffins, two of his own and one of Mac's.

Water Leak

Have I ever told you how Thankful I am to have a husband who can fix anything and everything! Last Friday Stuart was in Houston on business when I noticed water pouring out of the man hole on our front yard. Apparently it had been like that all day. I called my dad who told me to call the city. I asked for an emergency turn off and no one ever came!!! That is another story though. This very nice man who lives a street over came by and opened the man hold, turned off the water and found the leak. We were without water until Stuart got home a couple hours later. My handy dandy husband, found the leak (the bolts were decayed causing a separation and a blown gasket... or something like that). Within a few hours (with the help of Hannah) he had it fixed and our water turned back on! Thanks Babe!

It's Turkey Time!

Happy November!

Halloween

After all the hussle and bussle of Halloween Parties all week, Halloween was actually nice and relaxing! We trick or treated at Diane and Martin's, Mimi and Pops, and Granddad's before heading over to Green Tree for dinner and a hayride with friends. We were home and in bed by 7:30 and without a lot of unwanted candy! Hannah wouldn't wear her piggy head and was too shy to say Trick or Treat! Maybe next year!

Hannah Grace

Upon the recommendation of my sister-in-law, I used a company http://www.blog2print.com/ and had my blogs made into books. I made a book for 2008-2009 and one for 2009-2010 and will make another at the end of this year. These books are precious memories! They serve as baby books, photo albums, scrap books, and a journal. I loved going back and reading them. While reading through them I realized I used to be a better blogger. I used to "talk" more about what we were doing, what the kids were doing, etc. Lately I have just posted pics and written about the pictures. With that said, I need to update you on Hannah!

Hannah, oh where do I start. She is vivacious, loving, and at the cutest possible stage in her life I could ever imagine! She will turn 3 in less than 2 months and talks like a 13 year old! She is very inquisitive and asks "who is that?" or "what is that? " about everyone and everything! She wants to know "where are we going for?" and upon hearing an answer will often say "oh yeah, okay" very affirmatively. She also likes to say "just one more time" "just one more bite, that's all okay!" "just one more" "I do it one more time!" and "I do it one more time, and that's all!" She will say "But, I need that". We are working heavily on manners and instead of saying please, she will often say "politely want this mommy". I hate the word "yeah" and its probably because my dad still doesn't let us say it! That has been the hardest to get out her vocabulary. We also have great conversations! She tells me who was at school, who wasn't, who hit who, who cried, who she pushed on the swing etc. She loves school! She loves her teachers and talks about them a lot. She loves her friends in her classes. She is very bossy and her little two year old voice disappears when her bossiness comes out and she sounds thirteen! Poor brother! She lets us know everything is he doing and has taken on a "mothering" role to him telling him what he can and can't have or do. She doesn't like to share but is getting better. Every time she gets hurt she needs an icepack! She is very dramatic!

She dresses herself! She can do everything but the buttons! She is so good at it that she changes clothes very frequently throughout the day! She also resists help getting dressed which makes us late nearly every day! She has to do it herself! She likes to wear "Teacher" shirts (t-shirts) when she is home and often chooses a pair of leggings or night night pants with that. She is starting to have an opinion on what she wants to wear and we can usually always compromise. She doesn't mind wearing dresses and still loves shoes and prefers to wear a bow although she doesn't always choose one that matches. Her favorite panties are Mickey Mouse and she has never had an accident at school or during naps!

Our bedtime routine includes brushing our teeth, putting on our night nights, and putting on her pull up. She still wakes up wet every morning. She says her prayers every night and includes everyone she knows and loves!

She is less into Elmo and more in Mickey Mouse. We still don't watch much TV. She is loving books and can tell you several by heart including Brown Bear and Goodnight Moon. She likes to "cook" in her kitchen, pretend talk on the phone, and loves stickers! She loves to sing and knows so many songs. She is always singing songs in her bed and in the car. Her favorite songs are still "Wheels on the bus" "If your happy and you know it" and "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star". She will tell you if the moon is out, if it is dark out, if it is raining, or if it is hot or cold. And it is always either very hot or very cold. She is getting very good at drawing! She knows her alphabet, can count to 20 in English and 10 in Spanish. She recognizes all letters, knows all of her shapes and can draw a pretty perfect circle. She can spell her name and knows the days of the week and what days we do things like go to dance, go to school, etc. She knows the months of the year and knows her birthday is December 29th! She will be 3! She can count objects (like 3 horses) and is learning about God and creation. On a recent trip to Greenwood to the monogrammers we saw cotton. She learned and now repeats when we see cotton that God made Hannah, God made cotton, cotton makes our clothes, and Miss Susan puts our name on our clothes! We still have a great appetite but would choose chicken to eat any night of the week. She prefers her food "warm". "Make it warm, not hot", she will say. She also likes to dip in ranch, ketchup, or BBQ sauce. She loves chic-fil-a and loves to go inside. Mimi and Pops pick her up from school on Mondays and take her there for lunch, it is the highlight of her week! Her other highlight is ice cream with Granddad! She looks forward to the weekend and tells us every time we drive by the yogurt place that she needs to call Granddad to get ice cream on Sunday. Oh, she also tells us she has a babysitter in her tummy! She has the most incredible memory and remembers everything we do. I am constantly amazed that she remembers things and places the way she does. She is getting the game Memory for Christmas.

We are extremely busy these days. We go to school 5 days a week at 2 different schools. We are still taking swimming and dance. She really enjoys both. She goes to bed around 7:30 and wakes up around 7:30 or 8:30 during the week depending on which school she is going to. She still takes a good 2 hour nap on average. She is still sleeping in a crib and crawled out for the first time two weeks ago. She hasn't done it again but will be getting a big girl bed for Christmas!

Hannah loves make up and lipstick! She wants to wear mascara, bronzer, and lipstick everyday! What mother would put makeup on their two year old? Not me of course :) She is so funny and comments on everything. "Mommy, you're wearing boots today?" "Mommy has her night nights on." She has even told me "Mommy I love your boots"! She is so funny! She also has some "favorites" that change but she will tell you, "this is my favorite".

Hannah still sucks her thumb, at night, when she is tired, or when she is nervous. Doggy is still her one and only love! It funny to hear her in her bed talk to doggy and what doggy is doing. She sure has an imagination!

Oh Hannie! I am more in love with her everyday! I cannot believe how fast my baby girl is growing! Too fast for this mommy!!! She constantly amazes us daily and it is so funny to hear what will come out of her mouth next! We love you Hannie!!!
