Praise God for the Rain!

Yes, that is pizza sauce, snot, and drool and Hudson's face. This is the real Hudson!

It rained! It rained! We finally had a substantial rain fall on Thursday. We are in such a drought and the skies opened up on Thursday and down came the rain! Our poor duck pond is drying up and we drive by it several times a week and the kids pray for rain so the duckies have a home. Boy were those duckies happy to see the rain! Of course we were unprepared for the rain and drop in temperature as I sent two kids in short sleeved shirts and shorts off to school and temperature never got above 60. I also got trapped in a building in Odessa without an umbrella but it didn't matter, we are just thankful for the rain.

And to celebrate our wet grounds, the kids enjoyed the cool temperatures and played outside most of the evening. It was a beautiful sight!

Septemberfest

Last weekend Stuart went on his annual dove hunt so it was just me and the kids. We managed to make it to 3 birthday parties and check out Septemberfest. We didn't stay long because Mommy didn't bring much cash and after two birthday parties, it was past nap time. Hannah did enjoy the petting zoo and feeding all of the animals. Hudson, not so much! After the train rides, we headed home for a nap before making it party number 3!

Dance

Dance started again last week and Hannah was very excited about it! Can't you tell?!

The Yeager Cousins

My Mother in law sent me this picture last night and I thought it was such a nice picture of the adults that it deserved a spot on the blog! If you remember from our Disneyland trip we met, who we refer to as "The Yeager Cousins." We have traveled with them several times to Vegas, to the Gaylord, and now to Disney. We really enjoyed our adult only night with the Yeagers!

Silly Sock Day

Last week Hannah learned the letter "S" and Friday was "Silly Sock Day." Here are her "Silly Socks." We were at Sonic Friday night and Hannah saw the Staples sign and started pointing out "S's" left and right.
*The week before was "B" for birds, bottles, babies, Betty... The kids brought Bears to school on that Friday for a Bear Parade!

First Day of CDO 2011

We LOVE CDO!!! I couldn't wait for my kids to start again. It finally started for the year and we were up and there on time today (we probably won't be again for the rest of the year). Hannah will attend CDO Tuesdays and Thursdays. I kept her at CDO in addition to Preschool MWF so that she and Hudson will be at the same place for the year. Hannah moved upstairs and is in a class with all new kids. Her class from last year has all split up to different preschools (as she has) so she gets to meet some new friends, there is even another Hannah in there. She has fabulous teachers! Huddy got moved up out of his class to the 2 year olds. I am not thrilled about this because I want him to stay back with his friends and I really wanted him the "baby" class one more year. He also has fabulous teachers. His teacher Ms. Donna was Hannah's teacher her first year and she took a break last year and is back teaching Hud. Hud also knows her well from the church nursery. I am very involved in the school and will sit on the Early Childhood Ministry Board again this year that runs the CDO and Preschool. I can't believe this is Hannah's fourth year here... Wow! Nearly 4 years ago, Hannah was 6 weeks old and I got up at 5am to stand in line and secure the final spot in the baby class! We love love love FPC CDO and we couldn't have our kids in a better place to grow and learn!

Go Chargers - Pep Rally

Last Friday was the first all school pep rally at Hannah's school. The lower school girls were all decked out in their Charger cheer uniforms, they are so cute! What a fun school! Hudson and I met her up there and we went to the gym and watched the pep rally. Hannah loved the cheerleaders and wants me to pick her up like that. Again, it is wonderful to be a part of school that goes from K-2 through 12th grade and encourages family involvement!
